This residence is a Tuscan farmhouse complex on a hilltop bordering a small, medieaval, castle village. Ideally situated between Siena 25 km (approx. 15 miles) and Arezzo, it boasts a stunning view of the Chianti hills and the Ambra Valley. At an altitude of 500 m (approx. 1500 ft), cool breezes keep the site comfortable in the Tuscan sun. Borgo Rapale's architecture typifies the Tuscan farmhouse style. The farmhouse is immediately adjacent to the proprietor's Villa, inhabited since 1520, where the family welcomes and entertains the guests as friends. The complex consists of eight apartments, with heating when needed, having a total of 16 double bedrooms. All the bedrooms have the private bathrooms with shower and bidet. Each apartment features a spacious living room with kitchenette furnished with a refrigerator, a cook top, oven/microwave unit and dining table. Other amenities in the living room include a convertible sofa for two, satellite TV, and a wall safe. The inviting and functional furnishings are in keeping with the Tuscan character of the area. In addition, there is a guest lounge with Internet set and tourist information availability, barbecue sets, mountain bikes, adult and children games, a communal laundry and covered parking. The location of the farmhouse is strategic to visit the most important art cities of the Tuscany and Umbrae. In about 20 minutes drive you can reach Siena and in about 1 hour drive Florence, Arezzo, San Gimignano, Perugia and Assisi. The woods around the farmhouse are suitable for quite interesting hiking and mountain bike trips. The renowned thermal baths of Rapolano, with beauty treatment, are just 15 km distant, tennis 13 km, horseback riding 4 km, go-carts circuit 14 km, hot air ballooning 40 km, the Chianti and Brunello wine regions within 40 km, Italian fashion "outlets" such as Prada, Gucci and Ferragamo within 40 km.
