The Palace Bed&Breakfast rises in the middle of the old center of the city of Venafro Next to it, on the Piazza del Cristo, stands the church of the same name. The palace, built on one of the cardinal roads of the Roman town, was restructured in neoclassic style around 1860. It has an enchanting internal garden, in the middle of which stand two old palm trees. The upper floor of the palace is furnished with period furniture and the rooms are available for guests. The ground floor, once used to keep carriages, has been transformed into a beautiful hall available for small conferences, private meetings and other social events. On the main floor, guests may enjoy breakfast in an elegant drawing room decorated with frescoed ceilings depicting views of the town and the country estates. Our guests are welcomed as good friends of the family and if they wish may participate in the family life of the household. Of the four bedrooms available to guests all have double beds with private bathroom and are complete with antique furniture. From the windows you can enjoy a view of the Matese mountains or the fertile valley of the river Volturno. The family palace was constructed around fifteenth century buildings whose essential character has been maintained even after restoration works carried out in 1860. The frescoed salons and the garden with its ancient palms and old-fashioned roses are at the disposal of the guests. Tours can be organized by car on request and in addition to Molise tourist intineries, include the Amalfitana coast, the ruins of Pompei, the city of Naples and many other options. The family farm produces, among other things, an excellent wine and pure olive oil. It's possible to play a beatiful piano, and during the summer free entrance in a swimming pool (2 Km distance).

At the beginning of the 18th century a Roman family, related to the great architect Lorenzo Bernini, moved to Bevagna where they bought and renovated a large property which became their residence. It was made up of an elegant 17th-century palace overlooking the remains of a Roman Temple and Theatre (I century A.D.) on which people had built small houses in the 14th century and a famous local family had erected their mansion in the 16th. The man in charge of the restoration left the mark of his genius in the work. He didn?t either try to blend in the identities of the different parts or blot some out. He felt that what was in front of him was a body to bring back to life and to do so he gave it a heart. His simple but bright idea was to build an incredible hanging garden amid the age-old stones. Once given a heart, the different parts combined to make a whole. That was in the year 1710. From then on, except for some repair work, everything has remained unchanged and the different "antiquities" stand out against unique architectural structures. The descendants of Counts Angeli Nieri Mongalli (who bought the property in 1788) welcome guests to their historical dwelling, and to that hanging garden which, for three centuries, has breathed life into a body made up of so different parts. The Regional Government of Umbria has given to the Hotel the "Historic House Hotel" award for its great architectural value, high quality furnishing and welcoming atmosphere.

Historical residence brought back to life and to its original ancient beauty after a long and careful restoration. Our dream is to provide people with a place to stay that is not just an hotel but also a lovely peaceful location in the historical heart of Spoleto and middle of nature. The Historical Residence consists of 12 rooms, all of which are decorated with warm lightly coloured fabrics and organza. Each room, with its unique architecture, colour and decor is reminiscent of a noble room of the past. All rooms have a view of the sacred mountain of the Spoleto valley "Monteluco", which evokes the peace and the harmony of the hermits that once lived there.
