The Palace takes its name from the founder of the town of Pietrasanta, who in 1255, as the then autority of Lucca, gave his own insignia of nobility to the antique medieval settlement. Palazzo Guiscardo is situated in an original Liberty style building that dates back to the 1800s. During the transformation into a hotel we have been careful to respect this original style, in order to preserve and highlight the elements of the period. The hotel comprises 8 rooms of which 1 suite and 3 junior suite are furnished in different ways, with furniture in ancient times and with canopy-beds, ensuring a warm and welcoming ambience. The reception and atmosphere are those of a private home, with the services of a grand hotel.

Carmela & Gerardo welcome You at your "Residenza",a small hotel located in an ancient noble palace of the XVI century built on a Medieval construction and now restored with a skilful work. All the rooms have been tiled with majolica from Vietri,whose original drawings have been studied and reproduced by a local pottery painter. The rooms are furnished with well-finished pieces accurately chosen according to the style of the palace. The XVII century chestnut wood beaming ceiling and XVII century cloister and vauled ceiling have been revived thanks to the accurate restoration work made by a craftsman of our Costiera.
