In recent years the hotel has been extensively refurbished emphasizing its original elegance, charm and atmosphere. Superbly situated high above the Ionian Sea, its unique position offers stupendous views of snow-capped Mount Etna and the Bay of Naxos. Centrally located next to the delightful Botanical Gardens and just 2 minutes from Taormina's famous traffic free "Corso Umberto". The ancient Greek-Roman theatre and the cable car to the beaches are just a 10 minutes' walk away. The hotel is surrounded by its own extensive, subtropical, shady terraced gardens, where the fragrance of jasmine and bougainvillea flowers blend into a heaven for guests seeking comfortable, romantic surroundings. 21 spacious rooms, 5 Junior Suites and 1 Garden Villa Suite, all with individually controlled A/C, full bathroom, hairdryer, orthopaedic beds, radio, satellite TV, alarm clock, direct-dial telephone, electronic safe, sound-proofed doors and double-glazing, most of them with sea view, furnished balcony, terrace or loggia.
