Panzano in Chianti is a small town perched on a hilltop halfway between Florence and Siena. Just out of town (2 km from Panzano's square), down a simple country lane, you'll find the Farm and a warm welcome from its owner, Giulietta.The Farm is a bed & breakfast in a beautifully restored Tuscan farmhouse surrounded by its own olive trees, vineyard and forest. The rooms are warm and comfortable, furnished with typical old Tuscan artefacts and artwork that complement the terra-cotta floors and open-beamed ceilings. Giulietta enjoys cooking and is delighted to share her many recipes and techniques for preparing a variety of Tuscan meals. Her kitchen is well-suited for teaching and hands-on participation. After the class... everybody at the table!(With plenty of Giulietta's own Chianti from grapes grown and crushed right here.) Buon Appetito!! People staying at other places in the area, as well as guests at the Farm, are welcome to attend a cooking class. We usually start around 4:00 in the afternoon and prepare a number of dishes, including primo piatto, secondo piatto, contorno and dolce. Everyone gets an apron and enjoys preparing the meal. Depending on your appetite, and how many menus you'd like to try, cooking classes can be arranged for 1, 2, 3 or 4 days. We can also be reserved for dinners, banquets, and Communion parties.
