The surrounding hills are also crammed with picturesque but untouristy tiny hill towns and castles like Staggia and Castello di Strozzavolpe. The Podere is also very well situated for more ambitious sight - seeing half - way between Florence and Siena and with access to excellent roads. The Chianti towns of Greve and Castellina lie to the East, and Siena to the South East. Fascinating San Gimignano and Volterra are within easy reach . Poggibonsi , the nearest town , is a prosperous modern town with good reastaurants and shops of every kind. We have five apartments with garden terrace and barbecue
