The Borgo is in the small medieval town of Montecolognola, of the hill aaround the Trasimeno Lake, not far from Siena and Florence and very close to Perugia. In the heart of Italy, in the midst of a romantic olive grove with view of the Lake Trasimeno: that's how you live in the six immaculately furnished apartments of Borgo Spagnoli in Umbria. Here you can have a holiday or live as a hermit, discover the local culture or enjoy the lake. Each season offers something special and every trip has its charm. You live away from tourism in the uncontaminated Umbria and at the same time you can also enjoy the culture that Tuscany offers. Lovers of ancient houses cannot but fall in love with Borgo Spagnoli. Built in the 14th century, it sits proudly in the green hills of Umbria. Pleasantly protected by huge walls you are protected from both the heat of summer and the cold of winter. The small chapel next to the villa gives you a breath of history. The over 200 hectare olive g rove round the villa is ecologically cultivated and produces on of the best organic oils in the area. Wherever you wish you can find somewhere to sit near the apartments with a marvellous view of the lake: whether on the grass under the trees, on a rock or in the villa courtyard. The Borgo is composed of six apartments each with its own characteristics and personal charm. They are all the same as far as quality is concerned, but at the same time unique. Each has its own colour theme, its own atmosphere and obviously its own past.

Entering on the ground floor into a large lounge room and kitchen, a staircase leads to the first floor and the night area, there is found a double bedroom with the possibility to add a cot, a twin bedroom with a bathroom with a shower.
