The Villa was the summer residence of the last prime minister of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany (Giovanni Baldasseroni), built in the 18th century on a 16th century religious site, and is still owned by the descendants of Count Baldasseroni. It is divided into two apartments, the "Villa", a large flat on the ground floor, and the "Granary" on the first floor overlooking the south garden.The flats have been recently converted in the style of the period and renovated with modern bathrooms and kitchen facilities. A unique feature of the property are the gardens, the north romantic garden designed by the architect Poggi, who designed the Boboli gardens in Florence, and the formal south garden with roses and box hedges.Each apartment has exclusive use of parts of these gardens. The property has a shared swimming pool situated in the olive grove next to the house,where each apartment has an exclusive area with deckchairs and sun umbrellas. Is ideally situated for visiting Florence (30 kms) and Siena (50 kms). Situated on a ridge above the Pesa valley in the heart of the Florentine hills, it ia also within easy reach of other important Etruscan/Renaissnace towns, like Certaldo (birthplace of Boccaccio), San Gimignano, with its famous towers, Volterra, Pisa and Lucca. The owners offer on the prices indicate a reduction in price to you of 10% for reservations of 3 weeks, and of 20% for reservations from 4 weeks in then.
