Farmhouse is a beautifully restored ancient palace, in the heart of the Cortona mountains, between Tuscany and Umbria. Historically it could date back to the Villa di Rufino, of the first general of the Gothic King Alarci. Immersed in greenery and surrounded by a natural beauty, the building offers a luxury stay in absolute peace, not only near to Cortona but also to other cities of art, due to its singular position on the border of Tuscany and Umbria. The building is 500 square metres and is on three floors, completely covered in Firenzuola stone and refined with typical materials of Cortona-Tuscany: flooring is in terracotta, beams and fixtures in wood, staircase in stone. Guests have the free access to the large swimming pool and the exclusive use of the large lounge room with a fireplace on the ground floor. The farmhouse is furnished with taste and supplied with every commodity: Satellite TV, heating and gas, linen, and a large kitchen with every type of utensil and electric appliance. The farmhouse is 15km from Cortona along the regional asphalt road, that can be travelled over easily, and where views can be admired as one goes along, after leaving the Etruscan city, until arriving at the farmhouse. The property is almost 100 hectares in mainly a wooded area; the villa is surrounded by a park of 1500 square metres on various levels. As almost always in the construction of ancient villas, it has many entrances, but we take as the reference point, the entrance the door that accesses the large lounge room with a fireplace and lounges that welcome one on arrival, from here a door leads into the dining room, also with an exit onto the garden, and a communicating door into a large kitchen, equipped professionally, and suitable for all the guests. A fireplace with a grill completes this very functional kitchen, which also has an access to the outside. Still on the ground floor, there is a service bathroom, a large lounge room with a staircase that leads to the other floors of the villa. Every floor is separated by 20 stairs and subdivided by 2 ramps. On the first floor there is a lounge room with a functioning fireplace, a small cooking area, 3 double bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. On the second floor clients are welcomed into a day area, with corner divans, a functioning fireplace and a cooking area, 3 double bedrooms of which two have a mezzanine floor, each room has a bathroom. The swimming pool measures 7x14x1.80 metres with a Roman staircase comprising of four stairs.
